Sensitivity: Finding the Right Speed for Your Game

The sensitivity numbers in the BO7 database are surprisingly close together. Of the 45 confirmed profiles, 21 use 1.70, and 40 fall between 1.65 and 1.85. There are differences worth looking at, but most players aren’t using wildly different aiming speeds.

Where your role points you

If you mainly use an AR, a slightly lower sensitivity may make it easier to hold your aim on a small target at range. Those fights often involve following a short strafe or correcting a small miss. If every adjustment carries your crosshair past the player, reducing sensitivity a little is worth trying.

An SMG player has more reason to consider a quicker setting. Close fights can demand larger turns, particularly when someone slides past you or challenges from a second angle. You still need enough control to finish the kill once you’ve turned, though. A setting that helps you reach the target but makes you constantly correct back and forth can create another problem.

The recorded setups

Recorded sensitivity, selected players
PlayerRecorded sensitivity
Dashy1.65
Scrap1.70
HyDra1.70
Simp1.70
Shotzzy1.75
Cellium2.10

Shotzzy’s 1.75 is only a small step above the 1.70 used by HyDra and Simp. Scrap uses that same 1.70 value, while Cellium sits at the top of the entire sample. These examples make role useful as a starting consideration, but a poor way to predict somebody’s exact settings.

Read the average carefully

It rounds to 1.74, while both the median and the most common value are 1.70. Cellium’s 2.10 and Lurqxx’s 2.05 pull the average upward; removing those two entries brings it down to about 1.72. If you want a representative starting point, 1.70 tells you more about the middle of this group than the highest settings do.

Testing your own

Keep your FOV, response curve and ADS multiplier steady while you test. If the problem only happens while aiming down sights, check the ADS settings before changing your overall turning speed. Move one value a little, play a few sessions and compare the same kinds of fights. That gives you something more useful to judge than whether the new number felt good in your first match.
