The Deadzone Data: What the League Actually Runs

2026-07-26 · CODLOCKER

The common wisdom says pros run a 1/75 left-stick deadzone and 3/99 right. After a precision pass across the tracked league, the real picture is messier — and more interesting.

The headline: a left-stick minimum of 0 is closer to the true league norm than 1. Shotzzy, Simp, HyDra, Mercules, aBeZy, Nastie, 04, Neptune and Exnid all bottom out the left stick entirely — zero buffer, instant response, full trust in their hardware. On custom controllers with fresh sticks, that's free responsiveness; on a worn pad it would drift immediately, which is why the pros can run it and most players shouldn't blindly copy it.

Left-stick maximums scatter more than expected: Alluka caps at 60, Sib and Nium at 65, Kips and aBeZy at 70 — meaning full sprint input arrives before the stick physically reaches its edge. Right-stick minimums run 2–5 across the league, and Ghosty is the outlier of the pass: a 3 minimum and 99 maximum on both sticks.

The pattern underneath: deadzones are the most individually-tuned setting in the game, far more than sens or FOV — because they're tuned to a specific physical controller, not to aim feel. Every tracked player's exact values are on their page.
